Having made the purhcase on the falls, the accent crown was my own portion to create, cutting the foam strips into short supporting layers, working out the sequence, and binding them into a grand flexible wing.

Subtle Symbolism

After upgrading the Cathedral Cape it is time to tend to the other ‘Architecturewear-project’ creation and further accentuate its concept-lines. Using the following sketch as a symbolic illustration of the flows manifesting through the seams that are making up the design; both distinct semblances are to be subtly represented by contrastive types of trim; with black braided lace covering the blue lines that follow and intersect with the reds, which depict placement points for a great mass of pewter buttons.

Rolling Buckle

The short shorts are currently in the process of being amplified with a matching-fabric belt that’s easily lockable in two stances, for which was opted on equipping it with a rolling buckle, worked off with a silver bracket for guiding the remainder of the belt through and create a completed shining rectangle, making the construction look impeccable in its own, while the combination with punched metal eyelets fully strengthens the hold that the belt will have on the conjoinable furry leg-ins.

Decagonal Hat

Next up is an architecturally-grounded concept with a strong Balto-Slavic character to it, that is to be derived from merging short-pile fur onto lightweight greyboard in order to construct a diamond-shaped top-hat which exists out of four levels that continue the divergence of the regular decagon found on top, through a series of angular planes that are all measured to follow the golden ratio.

The decagon makes an excellent foundation for the project as its unique devision clearly distincts between front and flanked views, while being substantial enough to ascertain that for the chosen materials, the many surfaces will be reflected beautifully.

Art Supplies

Setting in the new working year, I went out for purchasing a basis of high-grade materials to support me in drawing my concept art, to return with a set of quality graphite pencils and to my own surprise, something I have not used since childhood: a watercolour tray, for replacing the coloring-pencils I turned to before.

When embarking on this blogging adventure I did not know where this platform was going to take me, but now that I’m concluding the first year of sharing these unearthly visions of mine, I feel strengthened in the validity of my designs and proud in managing this unequivocally structured weblog.

With 246 posts, containing 430 photographs, divided over nine distinct categories, I consider these pages to be a commendable collection of my thoughts and efforts throughout the past year and I can honestly say that I am looking forward to continue writing these little articles as I am learning my way through creating these things that I want to see made.

And so I leave you here with my last work for 2011; this thespian depiction of the Vampire Outfit, making a promise to return in February, charged with plenteous fresh ideas.

The preliminary designs for the upcoming Wave Gothic Treffen festival display a strong anchorage in day by day venturing, conceptualising addressed sub-scenes through color-indicated line-impressions, embarking on new experiments as well as revisiting some older ones through the means of creating a continuous play of tailored bodices and flowing length throughout the five festival days, making each outfit a well thought-out combination of natural and synthetic materials, with a newly found attention towards head decoration.

Cadenced Falls

A dextrous amalgam of aurulent strands of crin, fiber and foam, rhythmically layered with reflective neon accents intertwining their full meter drop, making these magnificent falls both ornamental and provocative.
